Dr. Willie Woods, confessed Jesus Christ, was saved and baptized at the age of nine years old, under the auspices of his father’s ministry (the Late Reverend Willie Woods, Sr.); who, at the time was pastor of All Saints’ Home Church of God in Christ, in Elmira, NY. Apostle Woods is a third generation Pentecostal (Apostolic) Preacher. He acknowledged and answered his call to Christian Ministry while in his late teens, just prior to graduating from Erie Community College. He studied theology at Houghton College and later earned a Bth; M.Div; PhD and second PhD (Doctor of Philosophy of Theological Science).
Apostle Woods was ordained in the Church of God in Christ in 1965, prior to his induction and military tour in Germany; sanctioned by Bishop W. G. Shipman. While on military tour in Germany, he became pastor of a ministry which functioned in cooperation with the Army Chaplin. Shortly after returning home from the military, he founded Holy Presence Church of God in Christ and began to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ on radio and television. As founder and Chief Apostle of “Churches of Faith and Deliverance,” in the mid-eighties, Apostle Woods was elevated to the Bishopric and consecrated to the Apostolic. He also served as Founder and Chief Apostle of “Garden of God Full Gospel Christian Fellowship” and “Apostolic Family Worship Centers, International.” He was affirmed to the Apostolic by Apostle Sylvester Davis Johnson, Prelate of the True Vine Churches of Deliverance (Apostolic) in the year 2004. Apostle-Bishop-Doctor Willie Keith Woods recently concluded post-graduate courses of study under the professorship of Apostle-Bishop-Chancellor Eddie Montgomery, Ph.D.: Dean of University Family Bible and now holds formal credentials as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, is a formal member of the National Christian Counselors Association; and the Sarasota Academy Christian Counseling.

Doctor Apostle Woods is a published author and writer of contemporary gospel lyrics, placards and booklets.
