Now Faith Is!

Now Abideth These Three, Faith, Hope and Love; But the Greatest of These is Love. (1 COR 13:13)

All three of the above virtues are great because they are Attributes of The Living God. The text indicates a crescendo in the three values from least to greatest. “Faith’ is Great; ‘Hope’ is Greater and ‘Love” is Greatest.

God is described as Faithful sixteen times in Scripture. In fact, three of His Many Divine Titles (Names) are: (1) “The Faithful God,” (DEUT 7:9) (2.) “Faithful Creator”. (I.PET.4:19) and (3) “Faithful Witness”.  (REV.1:5).

How important is “Faith” to God ? … So important that God says “Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.” Should we expect God to be pleased with anyone who distrusts Him or accuses Him of dishonesty? Although we may exhibit and demonstrate other virtues we must never lack “Faith.”

Whoever seeks God; seeks to find Him, know Him or pursue Covenant with Him, must believe He Exists, Thrives, Reigns and Super-reigns. We must also Believe “He is the Rewarder of those who diligently (sincerely, earnestly and consistently) seek Him.” [Refer to HEB 11:6].

Oh, the wonder of “Faith!” If you have faith, it was given you by God. Christ is its Divine Author and Finisher [Origin and Focus (Object)] Assert it! Employ it! Let God Promote its expansion and increase. Earnestly contend for the Faith (God’s True Doctrine) which was once delivered unto the saints.
